Prepare a black-and-white puzzle pack

Choose a reasoning group separately from the board size. A 5×5 challenge can use eliminations, while an 8×8 intro board can finish through singles. For a first paper session, choose Intro and a comfortable size, then increase the reasoning demands once the four placement checks feel familiar.

  1. Select the size, difficulty and number of puzzles. Check the permanent IDs in the preview so you can return to the same boards online.
  2. Match A4 or Letter to the paper in your browser’s print dialog. The page setting does not physically change the paper loaded in a printer.
  3. Leave Include answers off for an unspoiled pack. If included, answers appear in a separate section intended for a separate page; check that separation in the browser preview.
  4. Open the print view. Inspect scaling, margins and page breaks before printing or choosing Save as PDF. Browser headers, footers and printer margins can change the result.

Read regions without relying on color

Region letters and heavier boundaries carry the structure in black and white. Matching letters form one region, even when the boundary bends. Keep the row, column and no-touch rules alongside the regional quota. When marking a deduction, write an × clearly enough to distinguish it from a cat.

Use the same puzzle to check your reasoning

A selected walkthrough links directly to a one-puzzle print view. Return to that ID’s guide when you want the reasoning rather than only the answer. For example, gm-5-0003 explains a compact candidate-elimination chain; gm-6-0001 follows a sequence of singles.

If an edge is clipped or a sheet breaks unexpectedly, adjust the print dialog’s scale and margins and inspect the preview again. Check every sheet in the preview, because browser and printer settings can alter the page breaks.
